Symbolism

I was driving down the interstate, hurrying to get home for the holidays. I could picture my family anxiously waiting to decorate the Christmas tree. I passed a car and saw the driver mouth "slow down" through the window. Suddenly, I realized how fast I had been driving. I slammed on my brakes and it felt like time was slowing down as a truck hit my car from behind. I slammed forward, hitting my head on the steering wheel and bounding off of it. I don't remember much after that.

I don't know how long I was unconscious, but I woke up to the increasing sound of sirens in the distance. I felt a sharp pain in my neck, the air bag had saved my life. I saw police running down the street to me and the person behind me. I reached for the button to roll my window down. Then, everything went dark again.

The air bag represents God, because God is a savior and a protector.

  2. MP, I love how you took two completely different things and showed that they had something in common.
